Bought this at the end of October from ebay outta Florida and had it shipped to my Uncles in Michigan. Its a 97 C5, 6 speed, with targa top. 55.8xx miles and totally unmolested, bone stock. Couldnt be more excited for the spring to come! I wanted one so bad after getting rid of the Impala and to find EXACTLY what I wanted for the price I could afford, I couldnt be happier Very Happy. 2 issues are the front tires need to be replaced and the RR tire sensor doesnt show a pressure. But I have all winter to fix those small problems. Couple cell phone pics...

Nice choice! Why did you go for a '97? I was looking at 2003's this summer, but never pulled the trigger.

I may have missed this through conversation somewhere, but what is the winter beater, the Taurus?

If rkvette wasn't dead, he'd have a sandusky shower with you to celebrate.

Throw a maggie on it and try not to kill yourself. Laughing

I was wondering about him the other day. Did the torques get the best of his pacemaker? Laughing

Laughing If he did die, his son must have gotten all of his cars on top of the ones his son has. A lot of expensive cats in that family

Didn't take long for a thread derail. Laughing

That's a beautiful vette. But please do stick around with updates and such.

Can't wait to see what you do with it.

So, did I miss it? Taurus in the winter, Vette in the Summer? COOL!

Also, I did not know about rkvette.... wow.... you really feel like you get to know people on this forum after a few years......that is too bad.... he seemed to have a lot of spunk left in him.....

Yeah, the Tauras is the winter beater. I picked it up last year for $200 and will drive her until she dies.

I already bought a decal for the rear bumper that highlights the Corvette script. Other than that, I was saving for the Borla cat back. I really like the sound of the Borla compared to the others. The Hookers system is 2nd. Maybe a CAI and hopefully a FAST intake in the future Twisted Evil

(pretty sure rkvette didn't die)

He's last logged into LS1tech today.

The Borla does sound like a beast. Although I don't mind the Magnaflow on the LS1 either.

Are you getting the Borla Stingers? I don't know about on the LS1s but on the LS6s they sound beast. Twisted Evil
