I like the Powerslot Cryo treated. They seem to resist the common warping on these cars.

I've used Centric Premium rotors with great success. I also put Centric Standard Rotors on the Intrigue and they have held up fine since April.

I think the take home message from this thread is to get something that isn't a cheap parts store blank and you should be fine.

i think you are right. Thanks everyone for their input. Looking at both the R1 and the centric premium, but it all depends on my funds when the time comes. Thanks

i recomend the R1 ones, they are the only brand i have tried between my monte carlo and my brothers impala that did not warp. but i do not know what brand blanks they start with now.

one brand i do NOT recomend is NAPA. worst rotors and pads i ever had. first 5000miles they squeeled like mad. by 8000miles they were warped, only highway driving. by 12,000 high way miles in one year the pads are worn out and need to be replaced.

i am trying AC Delco rotors right now, just need to install them to replace the NAPA junk. I just need the car right away and do not have time to wait for R1 rotors to come in

Alan

I had R1s on the front for over 2 years with no issues. Great product and I highly recommend them.

EBC or nothing. Who the heck is R1 Concepts? Looks like an ebay joke brand.

For me when it comes to rotors and brand, which I know nothing about, every brand seems like an eBay joke

R1 has been around for about 5 years, they are an actual company, not a fly by night ebay place.

Reality check: Unless you're going for looks, any good quality blank rotor will work fine.

The Autozone 2-year warranty rotors on my cars are going on 120k miles and are virtually unworn and with only a tiny bit of warping, not too shappy for $40 a piece 4 years ago! I wouldnt go with their cheaper rotor though, just my opinion.

I do have a full set of new Centric rotors at home, the ones with the painted black hats Very Happy They look nice, but I havent gotten around to installing them to see if they're any good. Laughing

If you shop on Rockauto.com or even amazon.com, you can get Centric or other rotors almost as cheap as the local parts stores. Thats where I got all my brake parts this summer.

EDIT: looked at the R1 site, if you look at the specs on their rotors, the picture is taken straight from Centric pictures according to the pics posted on RockAuto. So at least they are using decent blanks, unless they just ripped the specs off from Centric.
