Im taking a poll with my friends. thought Id do it here too.

---You are finally going to make the step into living with your significant other.
What is it you absolutely have to have in the home to make life for the two of you either more fun or less stressful---

I been tellin everyone the guys u gotta have a "Man Cave".
Somewhere to escape. ANd I dont mean no damn underground hidden lair.
I just mean like a second bedroom, study...or if you're lucky enough the whole basement.

What's your guy's opinions on the subject?

This is all in fun too, so no women can get mad for what you say. Laughing

Two sinks in the master bathroom.

Had two for a while, then had one briefly. When we built our current house, in 1997, it was a must have. I think a lot more new houses have two standard in the master bath these days.

Very much so, the one thing I miss from my old place.

Also 2 televisions with multi-room DVR for the 2 of them. This way you aren't stuck watching "her" shows all the time. Or being confined to certain shows in certain rooms.

A garage with 2 or more bays seems suitable....

Basement is a total mancave, that goes without saying.

When I was younger, my dad told me "Son, you must have a woman that cooks, a woman that cleans, a woman with money, a woman that's great in bed, and a woman that cares for you. And make sure they never meet."

That being said, I'm agreeing with the garage/mancave, with a bar in it. And a tv.

Definitely a man cave. Preferably a nice finished basement with a bar, unnecessarily large TV, etc. A good place to drown my sorrows during Eagles games. Laughing

make sure the half bath is yours, so you can do what you need to do in peace, and to isolate any ummm, issues, from the woman's domain (the rest of the crib). in lieu of that, yes, either the basement man cave, or the garage man cave. install a good video and sound system for guy based entertainment, and for when her cousin auntie flo drops by for a visit and you need a safe haven. peace, john

When we purchased our house, my wife told me that the (finished) basement could be my Man Cave. I had it all set up the way I wanted with my favorite couch, my computer, my TV, etc. It lasted about a year before she walked in one day and said "I'm hanging curtains." Shocked

My man cave is now a second bedroom and isn't nearly as cool. But, she has left it to me.
