I've been running without a tray for a while, but I think it's time I stop being lazy. Anyways, I seem to recall that the pcm was mounted to the bottom of the airbox. If the airbox is cut in half, can the bottom part be mounted to the car, and then the PCM mounted to that? I can't remember if there was anything special or not when it came to moving the pcm.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't. If you already have the appropriate tools on hand to do it, I say give it a shot. If not, I'd recommend you grab a Blazer PCM tray and use that instead.

Call me crazy, but I don't believe a circular saw or a sawzall are the appropriate tools for the job...

Like irish_alley said, screw drivers, tap tap with hammer and five minutes later . . .a tray.
I did mine when I put in the FWI. PCM sits right on it. I was going to use tie straps to hold the PCM in place, but it sits in there real nice. Tray pushes back into original holes. Cool

I just velcroed mine. Embarassed I'm cheap ass. A tray would look real clean though. Hmmm.
