Hey Guys,
'06 impala LT 3.5litre with 160,000 miles (260km)

Washer pump failed on me a couple weeks ago. could it be a Relay? the car is only 5 years old. When I turn the stalk to turn it on there's nothing, no sound of the pump whining.

Second, I have a pretty good tranny slip from a stop. Is there something definitive that could be looked at by a shop? or start tranny shopping?
I have to ease the pedal really lightly everytime from a stop to prevent it from bucking into first gear.
Every other gear is fine.

Thanks

Are these trannys belt driven? or electronic? could it be a loose belt? I dunno but my father in law was sayin some crap about a belt driven versus a sensor driven tranny.

No idea on the tranny, but the windshield fluid pump, I've gone through two of them.
I replaced it when the first one went bad, the pump is like a $16 part. The fuse kept blowing, I'd replace it, it would work for a few squirts then blow again. Put the new pump it and it worked for a few months then same thing, fuses started popping, now changing the fuse does nothing.
Still not sure on the issue, but I'm right there with you.

I changed the fuse with a new one and it still doesn't work.
Where is the pump located? I couldn't see it. Do you have a link to the part or a part number?

Thanks

I actually just picked up another pump at Autozone, it's like $16 (USD) and they had it in stock. I don't have the part number on me, I'll toss it up here next time I'm on.
It's all the way at the bottom of the washer fluid tank, forward of your passenger side front wheel.
I didn't change it out last time, I had it replaced when I was getting some body work done so the front bumper was off anyways and easy to access.
I've just been surviving without it all summer, I'll probably get to it next month.
