I searched through the site and couldn't find an answer. My 2005 Chevy Impala dual climate control lights are out. Also, the driver's side of the radio button lights are dim. I am not sure how to go about fixing them. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,

I have both the 2000 - 03 and 2004 - 05 dual climate controlls for sale, the 00-03 has 3 connections in the back and the 04-05 one has one connection, i bought them used when my blower resistor went and i thought the problem was the climate control, all the lights work fine send me a private message maybe we can work something out

My other question is how easy is it to remove the dashboard to get behind the climate control and replace those LEDs? Also, can I just the bulbs there?

The dash comes off easily (Here: http://impalahq.naioa.com/HowTo/Dash.html )

The Climate controls come out easy, but you have to disassemble them fully and solder new bulbs to the circuit board

If you are not up to it yourself, I offer replace and/or LED upgrade of the bulbs in the cluster and climate controls (and all of the interior switches as well)

Thanks BBEngineer! I would take your offer and have you replace them if you were in my area, but removing the dashboard and mailing them to you is two-third the work. I am still thinking of my options.

How do you get access to the 05 climate control bulbs? I opened the box from the back, but there's still the electronic cover blocking access to the bulbs. Thanks,

I disagree. Unless you have extensive experience and a high quality soldering iron, it's well worth the trouble of sending it to BBE.

I haven't taken apart a newer one, but on the old ones you have to remove the knobs on the front and remove the faceplate and such to remove the circuit board. Just be sure to keep track of all the little parts that will drop out of the faceplate.

Thanks IffyG! I think I'll just send it over to BBE then.
