jumped in the car, let it warm up a bit then took off, once the engine warmed up i turned on the heat for the first time since summer AND.....nothing...just cold air, fan speeds work but when i switch it from cold to hot i just get cold air...if someone could help that would be appreciated.

EDIT: just took the car for another drive, the passenger side gets hot air and i can make the passenger side hot or cold no issue, but the driver side blows cold only...

I think this points to an issue with the "blend door" for the air system within the dash. Searching for this may point you in the right direction.

If you find blend doors etc r ok, check your coolant level.
If good, feel both heater hoses, both should be hot. If not, flush heater core. Cool

Hopefully that is your problem, and you're not chasing ghosts. Good luck!
