how fast was he driving when he hit it?

Did he hit it head on, or glance it as he was driving down the road?

Hm. I don't know a whole lot about troubleshooting suspension and alignment stuff, but maybe it's a bent rim? Just a shot in the dark, I'll leave this one to members with more experience in this area.

I curbed my Intrigue when I was in high school at about 20 MPH. I displaced the suspension 11 mm into the car. Turns out everything in that corner was bent or broken (control arm, tie rods, the wheel, busted the hub, etc. etc.). The repair bill came in at 2200 bucks. Hopefully you got lucky and it's something simple, but I'd advise you to get it to a shop and have everything inspected.

That sucks. Check everything that IffyG mentioned. Also, the tire could have a broken belt now. Look for small bumps on both sides of the tire. Good luck. Cool
