my 2000 impala 3.8 just turns itself off, NO CODES like you turn the key off anytime anyplace cold or hot, driving down the road or setting in the driveway, when it's running it's like a new car good power but it just turns off and starts right up again. New plugs / wires fuel pump & fuel pressure good I've replaced about everything. HELP

I've been having this lately too. You're driving and all the sudden nothing? Like the cluster dies everything drops to 0? but if you put it to neutral you can start it right back up?

Check the following:

Battery
Battery Cables (they tend to work themselves loose)
Grounds
Alternator

If they are all good, I would take out the ignition switch and see if it's scorched... if so, clean it and apply new dielectric grease... or better yet, replace it

I'm leaning towards my issue being BCM related. I know my BCM is on the way out and when driving it'll stall real quick all the gauges will drop to 0 and then sometimes re-catch itself and keep on going. When it does that my SECURITY light is on until I restart the car. Very odd. I may pull the ignition switch within the next couple days and clean up the contacts.

That's not the BCM, that's the ignition switch

The BCM doesn't control power to the cluster

When it shuts off are dash lights on?, as if just before you turn the key to crank it over.
Possible crank sensor. Cool

Crank sensor sounds possible with his if only the motor dies. I know with my car the problem I'm having is the car completely dies, motor shuts off, and all gauges drop. Like I turned the key out of the ON position and back to ON really quick while it was running. I'm hoping it's just something stupid going on inside the ign switch.

That's what I thought does anyone know what I'm getting in to, do I need to take out the dash or can I get to it from the underneath. I'd like to have a link to some pictures haha.

Check the IAC valve, that might be your problem.

The IAC has been changed, it runs great when it's running, wouldn't a bad IAC make it run bad.
