Well like the title states,im back in an Impala again.Well i should say my wife is...

Sold her '95 Mustang GT and bought her a 2003 9C1 Impala. She always liked the last Impala i had (2004 9C1 Impala) and wanted one for her self.

Its dark blue in color,121K,3.8L,and 3.29 gears.

Runs and drives like a top, very strong motor and drivetrain. The only things i have done to it so far is...change the air filter (spectre drop in),new battery, and a massive cleaning.Oh and changed the oil and filter.

The cop stuff it has on/in it....single spotlight, rear lollipop brake lights, prisoner cage, rear hard plastic drunk seat, red and white ticket writing light, and strobe lights front and rear.

I'll post some pix when i have finished cleaning it.

Sounds like a fun car, I am putting the strobe lights in mine. I got some headlights that have the holes for them and since I have the strobes and wig-wag controllers from when I built a P71 CV I figure I will put them in this car. I didnt like the guy I sold the car to so I took them out, he seemed like he would have got in trouble with them. I also have the camera setup complete with the box and controls and VCR. If I remember correctly the camera needed to get sent back and repaired, cheap fix, but never got around to doing it. I think I might sell it if someone offers the right amount Wink .... I cant wait to see the pics Cool

Initially when I was looking at Impalas, I was interested in an 9C1... but after a bit, I decided I couldn't deal with that blue interior. That and I wanted some creature comforts Smile

The ticket light looks like any other ticket light, except it has a switch that can go from white or red lighting.I'll post a pic of it when i take pictures.

Yeah the cage is cool,i have only had one other ex-cop car that had the cage in it.That one is still sitting in my basment collecting dust.

The wife wants the cage taken out, along with removing the hard plastic back seat and putting in a normal seat.I told her to just buy a body pillow to put back there lol.

I still can't get over how snappy that motor is...I mean it feels way more torquey than the '04 9C1 Impala i had.It takes very little throttle to accelerate...The thing just gooooooes. My Impala was even modded but this one still feels quicker.Very happy with the over all performance Smile

Stay tuned....

I wonder why that is? My mother has a '99 Regal w/over 100k on it, N/A 3800, and it feels way more snappy than the Impala. I'd love to run 'em side by side to verify, or get some hard numbers to prove me right or wrong. Her previous car, a '97 Bonneville SSE (N/A 3800) also felt pretty snappy and that was into the 140k range and burning off a bit of oil out the exhaust.
