Hi

I have an 2005 impala with the 3.4L. the current stock exhaust (3' long resonator and muffler) is too quiet
/dull.

I would like suggestions on what to replace the existing resonator and muffler with to get a better sounding v6. ( I'm not looking to replace with a
catback exhaust, but just would like to to sound like it has a v-6 under the hood, like some of the 1990's chevy v-6's that had a more resonate exhaust)

any ideas.

Thanks

i have this exhaust on my car currently and would like to switch it out for the stock one, it has about 15,000 miles on it and it in great condition i would be willing to do almost an even trade.

where are you located?

Magnaflow exhaust is probably the preferred brand of muffler on this board. It's nice and mellow at idle, roars under WOT and is very manageable on the highway (no drone). Check out the exhaust database and see if you find anything you like.

There's a lot of options when it comes to mufflers. I would leave the stock resonator and replace the muffler. A lot of people like Magnaflows. Flowmasters sound good too, just has a little more drone. I think the sound you might be looking for is the grand prix? Might be able to just swap out the exhaust from one of those, as some have on here, for cheap.

Are you looking for a 2.8/3.1 sound? or 200,229,262 sound? The engine determines what the exhaust will sound like.
