Ok, here is what happened....

Car has been driving great since I got it. Today I took my daughter to school, 24 miles round trip, went to autozone for some oil for another car and stopped by a friends house, 15 miles, left his house went about 1 mile heading home, made a right turn gave it a little gas to pick up speed and I think I heard a pop type sound and no more response from the transmission. I pulled over and put it in park, then reverse it went it reverse just fine but then tried drive and nothing, tried 1st slipping real bad, tried 2nd and worked but was to slow of a speed but no slipping, 3rd slipping bad, drive nothing.

All help is really appreciated
Thanks

Check atf level, hope it's just low and add atf. If it doesn't need fluid it probably needs $$'s for a new transmission.

Sad the fluid level is fine and the color of the fluid is red not burnt...
I hope its something else, don't really have the money to replace or rebuild the tranny..

No way, I have been driving it normal, I have a race car to beat on. I have only had the car for less then a month and don't know the history on it.

This sucks, I paid a lot of money, 3400 and didn't get 3 weeks.. Evil or Very Mad

No warranty of any type from the dealer? I would be looking into this. A lot of places at least offer a 30-day.

These transmission don't like being driven, period.

Sounds like you might be. I'd take it to a shop and see what's wrong with it. There is an outside chance that it might be something simple.

Well, I have an 01 LS with a bad motor and not sure of the tranny condition. That car has the sunroof and the steering wheel controls. I was going to send that one through the auction but now I might swap the front subframe assemblies, drop both drivetrains and complete front ends and remove the transmissions, swap them, fix the rear main seal on my engine and put it back in the 01 and have the sunroof car with my engine and front end.
Sounds confusing but my question is where am I gonna have a problem? Do I need to swap the pcm also?
The 01 has a lot of front end issues, bad motor,
My car is 2000 with a good front end and a bad tranny
I want to end up with my engine and front end suspension in the 01 sunroof car.
