What are we supposed to be looking at? The police vehicles that haven't been de-policed yet?

As far as I know you can not sell a police car with all working lights and equiptment unless you are selling it to an approved agency ie another police department or security company. A private individual can not buy it for private use unless all equpiment is removed or non-operational.

I am sure they will remove whatever may be illegal for a civilian to possess, before they finalize the sale and the customer takes it home.

A lot of them seem to be pretty new with very low mileage to be coming out of service already.

Actually still having the GOHS label and putting that as a "special" picture is not illegal but should not be on there.

I agree. I didn't see anything that can't be purchased by a private citizen. Only a problem if the equipment is used illegally, but that's not the dealer's fault.

I bought a retired CVPI some time ago and before I payed for it I stopped by the local PD and asked them about the legality of a civilian owning a vehicle like those on that list. The sale of them isn't illegal. The use of the sirens and lights in public is. I personally wouldn't mind having that Magnum.

So I could fully equip my imp with laptop, cb radio, light bar, etc and as long as I don't activate the lights in public its legal? Why would someone do that?
