For a while now when i leave for work, i hear a creaking noise as i hit the bumps in my driveway. I also hear this creaking when i ride over speed bump and some bumps in the road(slow speeds). Ive searched the side and seen i few people say its the sway bar brushing, but i cant find out how to replace them unless taking it to the shop is recommended.

Also since Ive had this car i know impalas sit up higher in the back, well my rear and front is pretty much level. I do have to 12" subs in the back, but I've noticed it before putting it in(which was yesterday).
any input?

The sway bar end links are pretty easy to get at, all you need to do is jack the car up, put it on stands and take the wheels off. They are the pencil sized connectors between the strut and the sway bar. I don't remember the exact sizes for the wrenches and sockets you need, but as long as you have a decent assortment of both you'll be able to get them off no problem. If you need to replace them, I suggest you get Moog Endlinks. They are much beefier than the stock units, but they will need to be greased from time to time via the zerk fittings on the ends.

As far as your other issue, can you post a picture of whats going on.

Here, see it even looks like the rear is lower than the front

The wheel well in the front is actually bidder then the back giving it the look of being down more but if you just put subs in there too that will sag it a bit.

Impossible to tell from the angle of that picture.

Try it again and park the car on level ground, get far away from it that you can be at a straight right angle to the car while getting the whole car in the shot, and keep the camera level with the ground, taking a profile shot of the whole car.

Better lighting of the wheel wells would help too, but from that photo things look pretty much like they should to me (in the sense that there isn't an inordinate amount of ass sag).

How many miles on the car, and have you ever replaced your struts? When the rubber in the strut mounts gets dry they can creak.
