I just ordered some EBC Redstuff brake pads from Amazon a few minutes ago. They had two sets left in stock and the price was $55.48 which is cheap since they usually sell for $109 everywhere else. I ordered one set and now the last set in stock went up to $109.34

This is not the first thing I ordered on Amazon that changed prices right after I purchased it. Why do they do that?

There is some interesting reading online suggesting that price discrimination occurs based on browsing and purchasing habits gathered through their website or affiliates' websites.

Possibly because you bought something you have moved from one rating or pricing class into something else.

Amazon does, however, have to change their prices at some point... although the price jump after your purchase is obviously bigger than it ought to be.

Or he bought an item sold by another vendor and fulfilled through Amazon at a lower price than Amazon sells it at. I've seen that a couple of times and if the other vendor doesn't have any more in stock it bumps up to the next cheapest price.

All the other sellers had them for $109, and mine specifically said "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com"

Ships and Sold from just means that Amazon is fulfilling the item for the person.

You can send your stuff to Amazon and when it sells have them deal with shipping and stuff.

I also buy plenty of auto parts on Amazon, but be sure to check the pricing at Advance Auto Parts' website after using a discount code.

You can always use the P20 code for 20% off anything. I get emails from all the time with better codes for bigger purchases like $40 off $100, etc.
