Personally,I think the Imp grille looks a tad wimpy. I'm considering painting the "indentation" surrounding the grille, Here's a couple pics with a quick MSPaint job to give you a rough idea. Also one where I just "black-taped" it

If anyone has any pics of something similar,I'd love to see them.

Thanx

I think it would be tough to find a good break line for the paint and do it consistently.

I definitely wouldn't paint the outline and the chrome bar.

Not sure I quite follow you...if you're speaking of the outline of the bowtie,I didn't wanna paint that,as it is still factory chrome. The bar, however,is already painted body color,as I chose that over the chrome.

The break line would have to be where the crease is surrounding the grille, right?

Are we on the same page? Just curious...all input is certainly appreciated. Very Happy

Thanx

You are correct in assuming I mean the breakline is the crease around the grill.

I know you have painted the bar... I just mistakenly referred to it as that. Mine is flat black.

I didn't notice you painted the bar body color, looks neat! Any way Lingenfelter has a point on how difficult it'll be to paint a perfect line.

i say no one the whole concept. I think the final turn out will look like crap. I'd personally leave it alone.

Well then, let's try it on yours first! At least I'll have something better to go by.

JUST KIDDING. Wink

The/my jury is still out on this one. Rolling Eyes

thanx

And,by the way, would anyone seriously suggest a plasti-dip app for this situation? I got two cans of it...but to honest with you,I can't tell when some of you guys are serious about when/where to actually use it. Embarassed

Plasti dip would be fine in this situation. If you don't like it,.. remove it. Smile

I still feel the Indy grille, painted, is the best option on these. Laughing

I do like the indy grille...but,I still feel like it needs to look a lil' more "beefy/prominent"...IMHO

Doin' the "sourround" just seems like the way to go for the look I want. I'll probably plast-dip it this weekend.

drum roll,please... Laughing

thanx
