Just joined this forum trying to find somebody with the same problem. bought the car 4 months ago- 2002 chevy impala ls 3.8 v6. replaced plugs, wires, coolant, water pump, thermostat, and coolant temp sensor when purchased. about 3 weeks ago the battery light flashes dings and then repeats no other lights are coming on just the red battery light. had my mechanic check it out and the altenator was going out, ok i thought replaced it but after a day or two it starts doing it again does not affect driveability but annoyying. radio display flashes when that happens has anyone found out the reason for this i love this car and i just want to get it fixed any help would be greatly appreciated
My 03 did this the other day. When I was on the highway, the red battery symbol illuminated and I heard a few chimes. But the light went out maybe 5 minutes later and I haven't had the problem again. I'm not sure wtf happened and and my mechanic said my charging system seems fine...
i havent changed the battery but i just cleaned the connections and nothing but a new problem has risen. there is a clicking sound where the fuses are on the driver side and the lights flash off and on when this happens i fear the bcm may be going out whats my next step? also just figured out that the ground wire thats next to the fuses isnt connected to ANYTHING wtf. where does this wire go to
