All my stuff got stolen so I need to get new stuff... I know I want to get the same head unit I used to have (Pioneer AVH-p3200dvd) because I loved that thing...

So I'm looking for suggestions for subs and amp... My price range is around 500ish for the subs, amp, and box. I used to have RE Audio SEX subs and they were goog but could have been a little louder

Let me know what you guys think is good

Those are the same subs as my first ones before I had the RE Audio... I don't know if I want to go back to the same ones... they were loud but the quality was pretty bad compared to the RE's

I've heard type r's and I think they're the only thing in the Alpine line up that don't have good sound quality. I think you'd be very happy with ONE Type x or two type s. I think I reccomended those RE's to you and you said they had good sound quality, but not loud enough. How loud are you looking to go, because those should have been pretty darn crazy. I'm also a big fan of Boston Acoustics. I had a 12" G5 awhile back and it had excellent sound quality. Maybe you could go with two G3's? As always, you could go with two JL w3's. I like the sound of them, but the price is a little steep in my opinion. I've heard that Polk audio makes good sounding stuff, but I have no experience with them. Image Dynamics would be a good choice too. Basically, here's a few options for subs I'd reccomend (under $350 for the subs), and could go 10's or 12's:
1.) One Alpine type-X http://www.sonicelectronix.com.....1243D.html
2.) 2 or 3 Alpine type-S http://www.sonicelectronix.com.....YPE-S.html
3.) 2 Boston Acoustics G3's http://www.sonicelectronix.com.....12-44.html And could also add a Boston Tuneable Radiator
4.) One Image Dynamics IDQ http://www.sonicelectronix.com......3-D4.html
5.) One RE SXX http://www.sonicelectronix.com.....X12D4.html
Or what you already had. These are just my personal reccomendations. Start with finding the sub(s) you want, then find an amp to match the power ratings. A key component is the box. I would build your own honestly to the specs of the sub(s) and you can get creative with the design of the box too, like I did.

try ebay for new things. I know you have a price range of 500 for everything, but i got a great deal on 2 12 kicker l5s for 400 (came in box) and 400 for kicker amp. I know its out of your price range, but the retail for the subs alone was like 600-700 in stores. They weren't factory refurbished either, they were brand new. And there are certified dealers on ebay, which means the warranty is still good when you blow them up Very Happy

i was just using an example. I never said l5 were great in sound quality. I told him to use ebay, and with a budget like that he may be able to get better things for a lower price.

dude you're the man! Thanks for getting all this info together... I'll check them all out later tonight when I have time

Now that I really think about it I think I might just get my same stuff back... I can get everything new that I had for a little under $500 but that doesn't include the box...

I think I'm gunna do that unless one of you guys can talk me into something else that might be better
