Piss poor. Did you actually catch the guy, or is "drunk moron" an assumption?
These things always happen when you're ready for a trade-in, or when you just had something nice done with it.
I know he was drunk, witnessed him drink a bottle of vodka, just nobody caught him sneaking out of the house for a quick joy ride to Wendys for some late night drunk munchies after I had already offered to make a run for everyone, being the only sober person present.
Came outside when I heard him park into it, he tried to back over me but couldn't get the car started back up because he was too wasted to get the keys in the ignition. I stole the keys from him and had to fend him off from kicking my ass long enough for the cops to show up.
He refused to tell me who he was, turns out he had warrants, no license and no insurance. Borrowed the car from a friend's mother.
Spent the night with the PD
Transmission exploded the next night, to add insult to injury.
Wasted a whole day and had to miss work in order to get all the insurance paperwork, towing reimbursement paperwork and dealership warranty negotiation done, which sucked even worse because it had to wait longer due to the holiday weekend.
Nothing that a black Sharpie won't cover up. Sounds like you ran into harsh line of bad luck.
Last August some nutsack backed into the back of my Impala while it was parked in the bottom level of our private parking garage at work. Right outside of camera range. No idea who did it, on the hook for my deductible that time.
This past January, some nutsack in a new F150 decided to pit maneuver me because I anticipated a traffic light change from red to green while approaching and watching the cross traffic light, passed him while he was stopped after the light went green, he stomped on it, drifted out of his lane into mine, sent me spinning. I was brought to a stop by ending up buried driver's side into a 10 to 15 foot tall snowbank and left for dead while he sped away. His license plate was covered in snow right up to the top of the plate, no idea what state it was even, on the hook for the deductible again, insurance company started insinuating that I was a habitual drug user and thats why I kept having mysterious single-vehicle incidents. Bunch of c-suckers that steal $315 a month from me and then always want to weasel out of paying whats rightfully mine.
This time, I finally caught one of these jerk offs in the act and got my justice.
