Those pictures suck, but it looks like your old pads wore down and gouged the hell out of the rotors. What does it feel like if you run your finger across the surface of the rotor?

If it doesn't shimmy when braking and the rotors are not cracked... why not! Smile

it feels semi smooth just those lines are rougher it used to look uniform not too long ago... the inside pads are more worn than the outside should i swap them and see if it smooths out? they are cheapy rotors and pads from ebay they are a little over 2 years old
it doesnt shimmy like a warped rotor but it wobbles slightly like a rusty one

Then get new rotor then. That big groove doesn't look good. Get some quality blanks. Very Happy

What would you recommend for a good rotor? I'm not afraid to spend a few more bucks for something that will last me more than 2 years...

If you can 'feel' that rotor, I wouldn't run it then. It's hard to tell how deep or bad that is in the pics, but if it's giving you feedback in the pedal, I'd wager it'll eat up pads quicker than they should be.

Get a set of Centric Rotors. I went through a few sets of OEM rotors on the Monte Carlo and switched to Centric Premiums on that and haven't had any issues. I also just put a set of Centric standard rotors on my Intrigue.

First time I bought them I got them through Rock Auto, but shipping is a bitch. Since then I've used Amazon and utilized Amazon prime for free 2 day shipping and saved some big money that way.

I'll keep that in mind.. thanks. IDK what rotors are on mine since I didn't put em on, but true to being a W-Body, I've turnd my fronts a couple times since I had it.. backs once but they feel like they could be turned again too. Haven't looked into who's has success with which brand on these yet.

Iffy, do you have a problem of having the rotor hats rusting on the Centrics? I'm put Duralast rotors on a couple months ago and they're already rusting. Evil or Very Mad

The Centric premiums don't have that problem because they are coated with some sort of black paint. Unfortunately, I haven't had the standard Centric's on the Intrigue (it's only been 6 or 8 weeks since I put them on and most of that time was spent in the garage when the Monte was stuck in the shop) to be able to say how they are going to hold up. My guess is the hats on the standard version are going to rust up like every other rotor, but I wasn't going to spend another 40 or 50 bucks to get the fancy coated rotors for my beater.
