Been working slowly on the car the last 2 months, with 8 or 9 coats of Zaino on the car, and finally completed my HID retrofit after 6 months of slow progress, procrastination, anger and copious amounts of Profanities. The pictures do no justice, Its impossible to Photograph in This Dungeon like Arenas.

Also got me some more Boom.

Looks very good. But if I were you id plasti-dip that front bowtie. I think it would look even better if you did that.

That car is gorgeous. Are you planning on making a plate of some sort to go around the projector? I want to do a retro-fit so bag b/c mine fog up but I just don't have the money. Are those 6000k? In one pic they look like 6000k but another they look like 5000k

Looks great - Zaino rules. If folks have never tried Zaino, they cannot possibly comment on how it compares to all other products. It is, quite simply, the best, and I have tried every product out there, except for some of the cheap crap. Laughing

I too agree that you need to Plastidip or Liquidome the bowtie.

Awesome looking car.

Or an emblem insert from PBSS. I've never liked the big ass gold chevy bow ties on the newer Impalas, but that's just me.

My original plan was to have no shrouds, but that was because I was going to use FX-Rs. I ended up buying Morimoto Minis cuz I didn't have the time or patience to make the FX-Rs Fit (they are Basicly the size of the whole Reflector bowl, which was a new can of worms due to their weight and how much of the housing I had to cut out). Problem is these throw way too much light out the sides to be left like this.

To be honest though I'm not digging the look, I preferred the Halo lights better. Not sure if i wanna just sell them instead of finishing them. Still need to fine tune the aim cuz the Highbeams aim bout 6 feet in the air @ 25 feet, and i need to do something about the back access covers.

($500 and they can be yours, including bulbs/ballasts and a H11 harness. Laughing)

After spending like $650 on These headlights, I can't afford to Plastidip my Emblem right now. Laughing

How exatcly did you retro fit them? I don't have the same gen of imp, but I have been thinking of a retrofit for awhile. Heck may even buy the fx-r's you have for sale.

The FX-R's would work, but it would take alot of work and alot of cutting to fit. Personally If you don't have the time or patience, I would go with the Morimoto Mini H1 Projectors. The end result just isn't as NICE (IMO of course). It's the easiest method, and I wish I went that route from the start. Mine are still way out of adjusted (adjuster is maxed out and the right side is barely @ the correct Height, yet High beam aims 6 feet up).

How you used so many coats? Only like to wax once a year? I've never used Zainos, but have heard good things.

Of course he only waxes once year. It's only warm enough to wax like 2 months year up there. Laughing
