Yesterday my key in the ignition started being stupid. Now it sometimes won't come out very easily and all and once I couldn't even turn it at first. Is it ok to spray something in there?

Anybody know if I can spray lube in there? Or what's causing it?

I don't really know for sure. Possibly a worn or dirty cylinder?

Have you tried using the spare/less used key?

If the key isn't turning in the cylinder it sounds like the keys are wearing down a bit. Do you have a key that hasn't been used as much? If so, use that as a temporary fix, but eventually you'll need to get a new key cut from the VIN or a new cylinder.
