So I have the Monte Carlo Nationals coming up Saturday and decided it was finally time to crack down and do some work on the Monte that I have been needing to get done very badly!!

I was out of work for 7 months so my funds were very low, luckily I just got a new permanent job with a great company so I finally had money to get new tires for my summer rims. It's nice to have those on again.

I bought myself a Red G2 brake caliper kit and it was very easy to use, and came out great. Just prepping my calipers was crazy. 11 years of dirt and dust and rust. I went through 3 charges on my drill with a wire wheel and brushes lol. But it came out great. Only took 4 hours of cleaning and 1.5 hours of painting.

I used to have a windshield vinyl on the Monte, I decided to take that off because after 8 years it was faded and cracking and starting to turn a little brown on the inside. It's weird to have it gone, but it cleans up the car a little.

I also took the time to debadge my trunk, mostly so I can wax it without a q-tip because it never looked good around the badges. They were just too small to clean around, and the script font made it very difficult.

TL;DR pics:

As I've told you before, I love that car! I like the painted calipers. The debadging of the trunklid makes it look very clearn. But, I've always enjoyed how that Red SS sticks out on black cars...

VERY Kind words, thank you all!!!

I'm trying to find a set of the side Monte Carlo badges in Silver to replace the black ones, that should go very well with the painted bottom and red calipers for the side of the car.

The back of the car was just TOO BUSY for me, I did like how the red SS looked, but hated waxing with q-tips.

Car looks great. I'm glad to see the banner on the windshield go. It was the only thing I didn't like on your car.

That's the exact same reason I ditched the emblems (aside from the Red bowtie).

It is weird to see the car without it, but I do like the cleaner look.

The trick is not having the garage attached to the house where stuff can find it's way in lol

Thank you everyone Smile
