2004 Chevrolet Impala

Just got into my impala and it wouldnt turn over at all. i turned the key on and the security light flashed three times and the starter would not engage and the engine wouldnt crank over. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Turn the key on and let it sit for 10 mins, after 10 mins security light will go off. Then cycle the key off and then start the car

yeah i did that and thank god it started. also i just read some people have to press the lock/unlock button several times to get the car to start. know anyways to fix this or eliminate this prob?? im still gathering info but anything you can add is appreciated

Its the pass-lock feature on the car... Mine does it every now and then and thats how i solve it.. You can have it replaced but i think its costly.. Just follow those steps when it happens and you should be okay. It happens rarely on mine.

yeah it is a tad bit costly from what i have been reading. it just kinda freaked me out a bit haha but the car started just now and i feel better. i may trade it in for a different one soon sadly.

Lol dont feel bad.. About the only reason why i still have mine is because i dont want to have another car payment and its reliable for the most part... If not Id be all over something new
