Looking for a little help, so first off the car is a 05 base 3.4 with an appearance package. My first problem is there is no sound coming out of my stereo and I think I have found the issue but I just want to double check.I went to the races, when I parked the car it was fine, when I came out everything on the head unit appears to work but there is no sound at all. Am I safe to say that the factory amp has died? If so I have read the amp bypass guide but I have some questions. What gauge wire to use,are you guys buying some kind of end for the wire or are you just sticking the wire itself into the holes and if that is the case are you tinning the wire?

My second problem is I have an intermittent starting problem where I turn the key and nothing happens the motor doesn't even crank. If I wait 10 minutes, the car always starts sometimes I have to turn the key 2 or 3 times but it always starts. Now I have been dealing with this for a year or so and at first I knew it was going to happen because the security light would come on and then 2 or 3 starts later it would happen. Now the security light rarely comes on but it still does the no start thing. Sometimes it will do it everyday sometimes twice and then other times it seems like a week goes by without it doing it. Thoughts? To me it seems like it is an issue with the the ignition switch but I don't want to spend the time and money doing it only for that not to be a problem.

Thanks in advance, I have to drive from NY to Denver in 3 weeks and I want to get these issues solved before hand!
