What the best approach to cleaning the headliner. Theres dirt marks from previous owner and I dont want to spray anything directly on the headliner, wipe it and have spots all over.

you know it works because:

it's orange. (ignore lemon) : D

But I use that on everything with a cloth. Works on carpet, headliner, doors, etc.

I haven't had anything but positive results from SpicNSpan. What does Bon Ami do?

Ehhh it puts pits in your windshield. Used for for stove tops. I found out that polish works well though.

A good carpet shampoo on a cloth rubbed in should do the trick. Don't vacuum it though because that can pull the headliner and glue apart. I saw it happen at work last summer when my almighty manager ruined an SRX's headliner.
