Stock are 235/55/17. When I went to discount tire here to get new tires installed on my wifes car I asked what it is the biggest i can go. They said I can do a 245/55/17 and a 255/50/17..without no speedo errors and etc. Has anyone else put bigger tires on there Impala with the 17" rims? I would like to do the 255/50/17's. I think it would give me some more traction and more tire on the ground too.

255 may be pushing it on the stock 6.5" wheel

Traction on the FWD W-body is never going to happen.

Maybe if you ran DRs
