I love this site. i took off my hubcaps about two months ago and was gonna rock the steelies until i got funds up for some rims BUT that would be too easy and seen these on this site and with a little research and less than $100 here are my 9c1 caps installed on my non interceptor impala Very Happy

if you want them to be legit, then yes. if not, there's a guy i was referred to who provides a kit to install without any modification. i just don't like fake stuff i guess, so i put the work in Wink

Looks magnifico! It is hard too tap and can you tap aluminum?

Its best if you tap them anyways. A little more sturdy to me.

Tapping is just cutting threads from a drilled hole. You could tap threads into whatever you want, but the strength may not be present in the material for you to actually put a fastener in tightly.

I personally would have opted to tap to install caps as well. Looks good! Cool

it's not hard at all, it took me forever to find the tapping kit cause the auto store didn't have the right size, ended up getting all my stuff at a mom and pop hardware store, go figure. i am not that knowledgable about tapping anything, but i would assume you could tap aluminum... but assumption lead to mistakes... No No No so find out for sure before you do anything. there are a lot of smart guys on here, im not one of them lol.
