How hard would it be to do this and whats the best spacing and width of stripe for our cars? I have done stripes before but on a cavalier and I thought, heck if I don't like them I will just peel it off.

The best strips are no stripes... the only set of stripes of any sort I even liked belonged to Littlerock, IIRC.

Good luck getting it not to peel off when you remove the masking tape.

Just make it a 2-tone and follow the body lines along the doors at the handles. Use a credit card to "cut" the line at the masking tape to keep the plastidip from peeling when you remove the tape. It'll look good!

I thought about this when the Plastidip fad first appeared here, but scrapped the idea pretty quickly.

the only style I would consider applying would be the old chevelle SS style stripes, but I decided it would be too much work.

I thought about this too. Also thought about being obnoxious with it and taking pictures.

I think it was CaStylin? That had dark blue and red stripes. Actually look pretty damn neat.

If you peel the tape off when it's still wet it shouldn't be a problem, it would still give the plasti-dip a chance to create an edge and adhere to the car, whereas if you cut it and peeled the tape later, you may catch a small area and when that starts lifting it'll start to bubble the whole thing.
Do it! There's not much to lose but $5 a can.
