Well as always, here are the pics of what I have been doing on the off season. And yes I know its not your style. But it is my version of a show car so…………enjoy
Old Phase's:
Phase 1
Phase 2
Phase 3
Phase 4

Car is a little bit lower...

Or is it?

Ya it is lower

Defiantly lower than last year

With the help of Universal Air Ride AeroSport Bags on all four corners

And four Viair 380c compressors filling two 3 gallon tanks (hidden) 110psi to 145psi in 20 seconds

With 4 valve "blocks" one for each corner, that contains 2 SMC electric valves, 1 check valve, 1 ball valve to slow down the drop, and a Dakota Digital sender and Parker Legris nickel plated brass swivel 90 degree push to connect fittings

Those Dakota Digital senders are wired to the Dakota Digital gauge that monitors the 4 corners and the tank which is located in the overhead console

Completely redid the trunk setup

Pulled the two Optima Yellow batteries out of hiding and added some more mids and highs, that makes 4 in the trunk

Another view

Interior shots

Interior shots

Interior shots

Interior shots

Threw some LEDs in the cup holders

And some neons in the trunk

Last one

Threw some 22s on my girl's ride

When I saw your girl friends car, I thought to myself "So thats where HotSauce6226" went haha. I like the bagged look. What size is the main TV in the center rear of the car?

I've had the same comment 3 years running now because its a detail that ruins your car every year. I find it interesting all the effort you put into other things, but you consistently overlook these kind of fine details that make or break the well thought out thoroughness of it being a show car.

It looks good, the rims look good too. I've seen the colored lip before and it looks good in the right application. The one thing that sticks out though to me and I would suggest addressing. Your side skirts. Not that they're white, but they're ALL white.

The portion that is behind the door, I would strongly suggest masking it off and doing that top section in red to match the car color. It looks unfinished and the black pop rivets really jump out at you. Form that angle, it looks like an unpainted side skirt, not part of the total design like when the doors are closed. If you do the top in red, it'll blend a lot better and it'll keep the clean lines you have when the doors are closed.

I like everything except the excess of monitors. Why haven't you painted the woodgrain?

I see that you have reiterated the same thing again, but I paid for my car to be painted like that and I enjoy the way it looks even though you don’t. There is nothing on my car that ruins it my opinion, but I guess that’s why everyone has an opinion. Maybe when I repaint I’ll change it but who knows? Least of my concern right now. Thanks.

I was supposed to do my interior this year ended up buying four more tires and the all the air ride, so that is on my list for this year, the interior.

Thanks, I don’t understand U-bend deletes and everyone’s new found fascination with plastic dip, matter of fact I don’t even know what it is; And since it does not pertain to my car at any point I would appreciate this post stay on topic.

Its nothing fantastic just a restrictive part in the exhaust with an O2 sensor in it that get replaced with a straighter pipe not really relevent in a "show" car.

That aside your car looks clean as f**k. that must have took alot of time and effort to make it this clean. good job and a sure appreciation for your impala......what color are you painting it?

I want to throw a custom 2 tone complete air brushed paint job, its hard to explain, but here is exactly what I am going after:

Twotone: Never said anything about a ubend delete, asked about the tv's within your side panels

Also Helldo is referring to the white side skirt within your door panel is unpainted. I didnt notice it until he brought it up. It just looks like it was put in with the black rivets still viewable.

He isnt saying your car looks bad, he actually complemented it and gave you something to look at working on that may improve it's appearence.

The air ride looks great. Nice choice.

Exactly. Even if you don't want to paint the top of the side skirt red, you should at least paint the fasteners to match the side skirt.

yup, its the little details that really make a show car a show car. I did the show thing for many years and spent countless hours with a little paint brush taking care of all the little details that set my car apart from the one next to it. Most of the time when someone would come up to me and say "nice car", the words "its the little details that you took the time to work out that makes it so much better"

Dont see every comment that you dont agree with as criticism. See them as suggestions. Take them into consideration instead of getting all pissy about it.

I dont like all the TV's and stuff either, but I know what you are going for and I know about the show scene. If you'd like to have a civil discussion about a few things that I think you should look into to make your car better (not in my eyes, but in the judges eyes) let me know. I spent the last 15 years judging car shows and know what they are looking at.
