What voltage should I be getting at the under dash light sockets (when on) and at the window/etc switches? I'm going to check again but last I knew I was only getting ~7v under the dash.

UPDATE: I checked a few days ago before starting to plan for my own mod and i got 12v on the line. finished the lighting mod today and it's back to where it was... courtesy lights read 7.4 (dimmer turned all the way up) and jumps to 10.3x when i unplug the led thats in under the driver side (nothing under passenger side). Window switch light post reads 11.xx
Checked the battery (12.xx car off, 14.xx on) and alt. (14.xx)
Trunk light puts out 12.xx volts.

Currently running the alt rewire and battery tested fine. Going to clean some connections tomorrow.

Is there an wiring diagram for the courtesy lights?

Somewhere between 0V and about 14.4V depending on the output voltage of the alternator and the position of the dimmer switch

If the switch is almost all the way turned (right before it clicks to turn all lights on), I should get close to 14.4, correct?

Thanks!

at that spot you will have them and full brightness so i would say a range of probally between 11 - 14.4 it depends on the resistor in there, and what is being produced.

Bump. Even the trunk reads 12v. Checked connections for my alt rewire and it's good. It seems as though everything but these courtesy lights are at ~12v.
