Pretty much around 30 mph there is a whining noise that grows higher in pitch as I go faster.

It almost sounds like a jet engine whine (best way to describe it) and I think I have it narrowed to the front wheels. As I slow down, the noise dissipates.

What I've done:
1. I thought maybe it was something in the Trans so I put the pedal to the floor and took wound the car up to 65, the noise didnt change with the gears changing, it stayed constant. Therefore I believe the Trans can be ruled out.

2. The rotors up front are warped to all hell and being changed out this week If I can. I wonder if a rotor is rubbing against something?

3. I've called the car several nasty names. lol Laughing yep, thats about it.

Suggestions? Thanks!!

Wheel bearing? My 01 did the same thing starting at 25mph, replaced wheel bearing and it went away.

I'd also suspect the wheel bearing.

Just had the wheel bearing replaced on our silverado. Same symptoms. Not cheap to get done at a shop
