Well I decides to paint the letters on my tires again. I did it about three years ago and before I did it this time it was just really faint. The paint actually lasted about 2 years pretty well, and that's being driven for one or 2 winters (I can't remember). Anyways, just figured I'd post pics and see what you think. I like it. I realized by doing this that my tires are getting decently bad, with small weather cracking.
I did it with paint markers from Wal-Mart in Silver.

I like where youre going with this, just a few suggestions though:
1) Remove hubcaps or paint black
2) Remove SS Stickers
3) Get tints

Although I like the look overall, I'm not sure an Impala is the right car for this. But, that's just a matter of personal taste. The last car that I had that had non-black letters on the sidewall was a 1990 Grand Am. I put Firestone Firehawks on it and LOVED the look. But, on an Impala, it just looks a little...out of place.
But, as I've said elsewhere, it's your car and you do with it what you want (including the SS decal too, if that's what you like). That's all that really matters.

I really want to get it tinted. Only two things that are somewhat holding me back. It's like $150-200 and I still haven't figured out what's scratching my windows when rolling up.
I have been wanting to paint the hubcaps, but I see that I'll need new tires within the next 6 months probably, so new rims as well would be a better purchase.
And I know I need to take off the SS. If I can figure out how to get a chrome look or get plastic chromed, I will have them off and something else on.
to fix scratching issue
open windown allll the way, and get your fingers in where the window goes down and slide your finger back and forth and get all that dirt sticking inside the rubber grooves out.
if you need pics(cause its hard to explain) i can get some, my windows were scratching also just fixed it this weekend
