Hi folks - just wondering if my 2000 Impala LS has an Instrument Cluster Self Diagnostic Mode like some of the new fords(in the link below as an example) or has that only been implemented after the 2000 model year?

Just asking out of curiosity, nothing wrong at the moment with my Impala.

No, the 00-05 Impala/Monte cannot do diagnostics or anything else thru the cluster..

But my 1998 Vette does support for DTC reporting via the cluster, so GM does do it on some vehicles

ok - thank you.

It is a nice feature to have if your vehicle computer electronics supports it.
