Just got a 03 Impala, 3.4 with 133k on the clock. Tire presure should be 32 or 35? How many gallons do you have left when the low fuel light comes on? I hope this car does at least as well as my 98 lumina did, 219k on original drivetrain and I'm still driving it 80 miles a day. Thanks for the help

Welcome to the forum. Tire pressure should be 30 cold (check the sticker in the door or trunk to be sure). As far as the low fuel light goes, it's pretty variable, but you should have at least 3 gallons left. I've put anywhere between 12 and 15 gallons of gas in shortly after the low fuel warning popped.

I believe it's 17.5 gallons, but you can't do anything with that last half gallon... I know from experience.

Welcome to the forum.

I count on only 16 gallons as dry .. that way running out is a gallon farther down the road than you planned.

98 Lumina with 219k ... Sounds like yours has lasted well past average mileage great job.
I still drive my 99 Lumina Daily ...

Welcome!

I run my tire pressure as I see the tires need it. I was running 32 but the middle of the tire is starting to wear, so I put it back to 30. Last set of tires at 30 the sides wore a little more than the middle. Just keep an eye on what the tires are doing.

My 95 Lumina got me to 180K before the headgasket went and I decided enough was enough and got the Monte. Now that I'm getting up to 180K on this, I'm getting nervous Razz

I run my rear tires around 33 and fronts around 32. I only do that to help with the weight of my stereo.

I ran my Eagle GAs at 36F, 32R and had very even wear. I had a 3.8 so it had a little extra weight up front. The 40K GAs lasted me 55K, rotated every 7.5K.
