Please bear with me as I'm new to this site. Anyway, i have a 2004 chevrolet impala and it won't crank. i can hear the relay clicking but the lights don't even dim when trying to crank. i am able to jump the starter and get the car to crank so i'm assuming the starter is good. i noticed that when the car is in park and it is turned to the ON position the P for PARK isn't lit up. Also if i shift through the gears the PARK, NEUTRAL, and D2 gear positions never light up. I have been looking everywhere for a Neutral Safety Switch but it doesn't show up at any of the parts stores websites.

Try pulling the fuse for the BCM for about 30 seconds and replace. (Assuming that it is good). My 2000 LS used to do that when I had the security system turned on. I went in thru the radio and turned it off and never had the issue again. It sounds like a BCM issue to me.
