Hey. I had a squeak so I added some power steering fluid. A simple way to do it is get a long skinny funnel (about 8 inches). Remove the coolant overflow tank (2 bolts near strut tower brace) and is more or less a clear shot. Just a quick tip for anybody who is trying to find/fill steering resovior.

I have several different type funnels, usually I just take my long tranny funnel and slide a piece of scrap rubber hose over the end of it and stick it down the backside of the engine by the firewall.

I just replaced my wife's power steering pump 3weeks ago.
Fortunately I get to change it again, broke the return nipple pulling the trans today.
Arrgh!

I got a funnel with a measure on it and a long tube attached from O'Reilley's. Very useful.

if i'm not mistaken, the 3800 started in rwd or at least derived from a rwd engine.

Well when they made them FWD, they should have changed it to an easier location. It's BS it's in back.

At my dealership easy stuff like that we will generally just do for people.
Same with checking tire pressure and coolant specific gravity.

You can bet we'll tell you if we see any issues while we're in there though Wink

They probrably don't do it at huge dealers, though they should.

We are smaller dealer though in rural oklahoma.
We have alot of regular customers that we take pride in being their trusted source.
We usually don't mind doing the small 5m stuff for free,we know our customers by name and know we'll get the business.
We're in too small of an area to depend on volume,we have to depend on quality and customer service.
