i plan on purchasing and getting a viper 5701 alarm in my car...the guy said i would need an extra key and then get it programmed...problem is i dont see a chip in mt oem key...but he says its on the inside...is there any truth to that???

No... you need a passlock 2 bypass unit, not a transponder key bypass unit

Yea u need the xpress pklg bypass. 22.99 on amazon. I highly recommend gettn your spare from the dealer. These cars will give you hell with passlock issues n what not from spare keys. Definitely stay away from walmart. I install alarms, etc. The guy isnt lying u will need two keys.
