The names Franco.. Live up here in Toronto, Canada.. Just got myself a 2001 Impala LS with 210,000 km's on it.. Smile Black on Tan leather.. Was owned it's whole life by my father.. Just replaced the radiator and connecting pipes.. was leaking.. but it's all good now..(other then a problem with the hub which for what I learned from you guys could possibly due to water corrosion).. Anywayz.. Lookin forward to talkin with some of you.. I'm currently purchasing SSC springs and KYB struts based on some of the information you guys have provided.. pretty EXCITED for that.. can't wait for the weather to get better.. Hopefully I'll have some pics up soon..

Cheers.

Rule number one of beater ownership: don't put money in your beater.

SSC springs are pleasant. Blacksmith interior sounds nice, but you probably meant black paint and tan upholstery. 210,000 km, what's that, three million miles? May as well park your car on the moon. When does the weather in Canada get better, July?

I wouldn't call it a beater.. I'd call it my first car that needs some loving.. Engines running fine, the tranny was rebuilt at 120,000 km's.. it's a 3.8 L but I'm not planning on beating it.. I just wanna cruise.. the spring and struts will be a nice addition.. Smile

and cheers guys...

Thanks Frank.. Just want to say, it's based off your pics and posts that I'm purchasing the springs, struts, pogo washers and monroe plates. Smile

The mods I plan to do besides the suspension is I wanna remove the stock spoiler.. bondo the holes.. sand down everything and repaint the whole car myself, and I'm purchasing a set of 17" rims which I think you all will like.. I like it simple.. probably all gonna be done within the next year.. soo I'll be here awhile. Smile

I believe the problem is people join the forum thinking everyone will be an Impala leg humper and people looking for leg humpers, confuse it with being an ass hole.
