i already had an hid kit that i installed previously but slowly it crapped out on me 1 piece at a time. first a ballast then a bulb...replaced them both under warranty and then the other ballast crapped out. (xentec ballasts by the way) Evil or Very Mad so i decided to order 2 new kits for my hid's from ddm. i got 2 - 6k slim ballast kits for my lows and fog lamps and i have never been more satisfied. the quality of my previous hids were horrible. i have aftermarket projectors and the light output was horrible until now. i can see for miles now Laughing if anyone id thinking about purchasing a xentec or onex brand hid kit then think twice because in my experience with them they WILL FAIL you.

Could you post a picture of your projectors output on a road? How well does it light up the sides and how far does it shoot out the light. Is the light output even? Does it have a cut off line?

i hate to say it.... but i knew you'd like them!! Twisted Evil i'm glad you're happy with them, bud. i might at some point toss a set into the fog lights, but with the illumination i get with the 6K's in my low beams, i might just end up going 3K for the fogs instead and use them mostly for inclement weather driving. wife drives the imp mostly anyways, so i'd be the main fog light user anyway. DDM's kit is nice looking, functions great, and i have not had a single issue with them. peace, john

heres some pics for you billy101:

in my driveway

on my street ( my camera doesn't do them justice )

cut off line against a snowbank:

i had to adjust the projectors but i got them just about right now. they light up pretty evenly on the road an light up the entire road plus i made sure they arent going to blind people. you cant go wrong with a kit from ddm with a lifetime warranty Very Happy

If you can go with the newer style projectors if you go that route because the. Led angel eyes are of poor quality and the newer style uses ccfl's instead. Wish I had those because none of my angel eyes work Sad
Lows = H1
Highs = H1
Park/turn = 1157

The second ones I posted? The ones that don't have the LEDs along the bottom right?

I was kinda diggin' those...they look kinda simple & stock. I e-mailed them to find out the bulb types. It would suck to have to order another pair of bulbs from ddmtuning...but hell it's only $12.50....oh well.

The CCFL ones are crap too... the inverters fail like crazy (ask Godzson, he had his CCFL halos converted to LED)

And I still say the light output of these aftermarket projectors suck, compared to the factory housings and especially compared to a quality projector

Well, comparing my housings to his projectors from ebay...the light output is 10x better than mine. There are dead spots like crazy on mine, and it doesn't light up far in front of me at all. If I aim them so that I can see further, I end up blinding people. Sad

I figured that out the hard way...and they agreed to return them full refund. Also because they are getting hella moisture in them..it actually blew out my high beam bulb on my passenger side there was so much moisture in it...

thats good to know. i thought the ccfl one were supposed to be good from what i heard. i still think the oem headlight housing have the better output and quality but for the setup i have its probably gonna be the best its gonna get. if a i had a spare set of oem housings i would put them back in. it took alot of work to get these where they are now and i wouldn't really suggest anyone buy these projectors. all the leds failed eventually so all i have is low beams high beams and my led parking lights/ turnsignals (that i installed). if your going to buy anything just get new oem housings with a quality HID kit and you will be very satisfied.
