Was a nice day, took the Monte out for a spin, figured I'd snap some shots in the school yard.

Love the Monte man! All my friends are pressuring me into getting one. How did you manage to get those pics in a schoolyard? Last time I got in trouble for doing that!

I'm not allowed within 100 feet of a school, or a Chuck E. Cheese.

Loved everything about those SS's, except for the nose. Just didn't like the blunt nose. I don't know why. Much preferred the regular nose of that body style.

Very nice looking car though!

PB, nice shots, i wish there was still grass showing on the ground here in michigan. i always liked the monte's and affiliated body styles of the day (regal, etc.), but i wasn't sold on the aerocoupes with the goofy back window. i know it was GM's attempt at matching up with the Tbirds of the day, but IFR it made for a smaller trunk opening. how collectible are those cars nowadays, and i don't recall if the regal ever got the same treatment. peace, john

The AeroCoupe was so to the public so that Chevy could run the body style in NASCAR

The only G-Bodies that got the Aerocoupe were the Monte and the Grand Prix.. no Regal or Cutlass (This guy destroyed a GN and converted to an Aero http://www.cardomain.com/ride/.....d-national )

i wouldn't say destroyed as that was previously t-top car with a bad case of terminal cancer that got a solid roof, and a nice graft job at that. so it was already a modified GN as it was, and adding the aerocoupe glass wasn't going to hurt the value anymore than the t-top fix already had. good find, though. thanks for the info. peace, john

Agreed. There's two Aero Montes around here. Very clean well kept cars, but that back glass looks like a spaceship Laughing

I love T-tops! Say what you will, but we need to get back to offering t-tops in new cars
