I took my aftermarket radio out and put my stock unit back in recently. The factory unit will not play any sound out of the speakers but all else works fine. So I put my after market radio back in and now I have a horrible ground whine/noise. I did notice when I was putting the stock speakers back in the front pass door the gauge cluster went haywire for about 10 seconds. I cant get it to do it again since that one time. Any ideas? I think this has something to do with my battery draw that kills my battery in 2 days.

I would check your ground and battery connections. There is a ground connection behind the radio connecting ground wires to the magnesium cross member. Maybe you disturbed it with your radio work.

Other common Impala electrical problems, including unexplained battery battery drain:

Send Sparky a tip if one of his solutions solves your problem. I really like his web site.
