at least my clunk has been solved Very Happy

I've posted about this issue and seen it all over our portion of NAIOA; clunks.

"my front ends clunks!" ...Bad CVs, hubs, cradle bolts, steering/suspenion parts, transmission etc etc..

I had a nasty loud clunk, binding like noise in the right front end of my Impala for awhile... bought it used with 75k, its about 85k and found out the last service shop or dealer to replace the battery didn't fully torque the bolts to the support bar above it (you need to remove to extract the battery)

WHAT A RELIEF after preparing myself for HUGE repair bill

It's a good thing you found this first instead of throwing expensive parts at it. Very Happy

Sometimes it's the simple things.....
I've chased rattles for years only to find out it was my sunglasses sitting in the well in front of the console.

Now that's funny... But only the fact that you never wore the sunglasses while driving and realized it then. Laughing

Well, I don't wear them at night or on cloudy days and when they are on my face, my regular glasses sit in the same spot, so there is almost always a pair of glasses there.

I had the same issue with the support bar over the battery, I had to put a washer in between to get it to go away. With out it made noise and it was originally torqued down with an impact!
