I did a little search but couldnt find anything that related. Can you switch out the horns with other cars or trucks to get a louder one or a different sounding one? or "modify" these ones?

You can replace horns, make a bracket and a wire harness adapter if you need one, it's no big deal. Some states require a dual-note horn (as OE) and some could care less what kind of horn you have. If you're in NJ, there's no horn check anymore so that's fun, I guess. I installed a new horn in a Malibu recently with a cheap "HID" relay harness because I really don't like replacing clocksprings.

youd need a harness cause "different" or "louder" would be a different wattage right? along those lines.... so i could use a truck horn just have to fab it right i could still use the steering wheel and the 2 wires coming out of the horns?

I'm glad most people don't get their panties in a bunch over my antics like that new guy with the 30000k HIDs did. But seriously... I'll punch you in the face. Laughing

Absolutely, but I suppose the hearing damage you would be causing to yourself is punishment enough.

i can barely hear it in cabin, so i doubt i'm getting a lot of hearing loss. and i didn't replace my horn, just an addon. i hardly ever use the standard one anyway, but i didn't want to lose that option. i might get one of those electronic ones that does everything some day. Laughing

For your use of common sense you are spared from Iffy's wrath. I hate the a**holes that replace their regular horn with a train horn or the like.

My horn doesn't work most the time. When it does it sound like crap. (Think Little Miss Sunshine.) Laughing

These are a direct mechanical fit, but the end horn harness must be cut and modified.

The end horn harness is an inexpensive part (<$10) so this mod can be reversed inexpensively.
I put this combo on when my OEM horns started sounding weak.
