PostPosted: Wed Nov 10, 2010 8:03 pm    Post subject: Question 2003 Imapala Reply with quote

I have a 2003 impala that has cloth interior. I just recieved a set of heated seats from a totalled impala. How would i go about swapping out the seats and having the heated functions work? Right now the leather seats have wiring that i have no clue as to where they go. The seats cant move back and fourth because of this reason. Any help out there?

I think that there should be plugs under the seat, or possibly sitting under the carpet below the seats, which your leather seats will plug into. I know PBSS has discussed this before, but I haven't had much use for the information, personally.

There seems to be some kind of box that has to do with air bags under the seat?

Are your cloth seats motorized or no?

If you're original seats were motorized the connections will all be there, if not you may have a hard time installing them. I am not sure if the impalas without motorized seats have the connections there or not.

I would try talking to BBE he should be able to answer this for you

There should only be once connection for each seat. Unless your old or new seats have the optional side air bag like my old ones did.

If there is a little yellow connector it is for the air bag.

Also are you talking about your new seats or the car? Like do you mean the new seats the drivers side is motorized and passenger isn't? If so, were your old seats motorized or not?

The Driver side (Seat) is mortorized. The passengers side isnt. The NEW seats are both motorized and have two connections each. If i make some slits in the rugs, willl there be connectors there? or would i need to buy connectors from the dealership?
