You're in NC... they don't use road salt in the winter there do they? MIne spent most of it's life in Michigan where they do, and the rust was getting pretty bad in some spots... Body and all powertrain was still good, everything else, not so much.

I got almost 200k (191 and change) before I traded her in, I could have kept her going longer, but pretty much every suspension part needed replaced Smile I don't have the equipment to do myself, so I could either spend $2k on parts and labor, or just get a different vehicle Smile The Impala was great after I put the 4th tranny in at 50k miles...I will miss it. Might have to get another one in a year or so Smile

I know, I wish I took a pic at exactly 100K, but I don't have one of those fancy phones with a camera! Embarassed I took good mental pics but can't figure out how to post them. Laughing

Not much salt, not much of a winter here in NC at all really. I moved here from Chicago 5 years ago, so I know all about rusty cars. I got this car about a year ago and it has always been in the Charlotte area. I LOVE these southern cars!!!!
It would be great if I can get another 100K fairly trouble-free miles out of it.

Keep the oil changed and good tires and you should be good. You'll have some suspension parts to replace, struts, and the like, keep an eye on your control arm bushings...it shouldn't be too bad. They are great cars for sure, especially a southern car! Less rust!!! My "new" truck is a Texas truck, so I'm hoping it will go a little further than the Impala which spent most of it's life in Michigan Smile

Oh wait, I forgot I did actually take a pic at exactly 100K! LOL
Ok, I admit it's photoshopped.
101010 would be cool though.

I did take a pic of my mileage at 101010 on my car, but unfortunetly I left my cell phone in my pants when I washed it. Sad

I took the pic because 101010 looks so weird on the digital odometer. I'll take another pic in a million miles when it happens again. Laughing
