I'm looking to get my LIM gaskets replaced. Anyone had it done? What was your labor cost and the total time it took to get done.

I know at work we charge 6.8 hours x $85 per hour = $578 plus an oil change. Its really not that hard to do yourself. Here's a great write-up Sabrewings made a while ago: http://www.naioa.com/v2/module.....amp;pid=16

Including parts, my LIM repair was ~800 bucks plus a new UIM for another 200.

Damn Iffy that's steep compared to my lim job. I paid $300 for ported and polished upper and lower intake manifolds that included the gaskets plus $200 for labor! Cool

It's cool in the lower rpm range, great in the upper rpm range. I'm sure I'll benefit from a bigger throttle body to spunk up the entire rpm range though, namely the lower. I ran out of money before I could get the tb. I'm definitely gonna make that purchase hopefully soon.

I did my own work so it was just parts but my father had it done last year on his 96 cutlass supreme (3400) And he paid $800 parts & labor in central FL.

Didn't have much of a choice. A tranny cooler line ruptured, a power steering line blew, my LIM was shot, my thermostat was clogged and the UIM was melted. I didn't have a garage at the time and it was the middle of winter. Everything decided to break at the same damn time when I didn't have the tools or space to fix it myself. Let me tell you, it sucked having them swipe my card for 1800+ bucks of repairs.

I paid just over $800 parts and labor at a private shop here in E. Texas back in '07 for the uppers and lowers plus a set of lifters on the wifey's Century which got ruined when the gaskets went.

when my LIM started to leak on the Impala, I had the dealer do both upper and lower. I paid my $100 deductible and they billed the warranty company $600, but I had a bunch of other stuff taken care of too (I was just under my 100,000 mark and was getting EVERYTHING done), so my actual bill was closer to $1300, but I only paid $100 Smile
