Here's a few pics I took of the truck next to the tracks off the square in E-town and some of the riverfront downtown Louisville near the new Louisville Arena... aka KFC YUM Center... (soon to be known as the home of the Fried Chicken Bowl)....
Ohio River and the WaterFront Park - Located between the JFK Bridge (I-65) and the 2nd Street Bridge (US 31)
There are names engraved in the stone of people who donated to help build the park... The state and the city of Louisville donated 10 million each... this is what you call YOUR TAXES AT WORK...

Where's all the people. I only saw white painted sheet metal/plastic, a number of structures and one dude. Is he the mayor? Is that his only vehicle?
Nah, man he was some Hoosier that wondered over to look at the Fried Chicken Dome.... The others were inside eating KFC Yummies, and waiting on Slick Rick Pitino to throw out he first ball for the first game of the century... but he wasn't allowed inside since he was an illegal alien from Indiana...

Coming back to Michigan from the Alabama Redneck Riviera (Gulf Coast area) we stayed at the Sheraton Louisville Riverfront Hotel. A very, very nice, hotel although, I believe, it is in Jeffersonville, and the Hooser State.
Saw a little bit of Louisville, nice town, and would be a great town for an Impala get-together.
that hotel is at exit 0 just across the river in Indiana... Kentucky owns all the way to the Indiana shoreline... Its a nice view from Ashland Park across from downtown Louisville when they have the fireworks at Thunder and less of a crowd than at the water front park and great lawn
Louisville "metro" takes in Jeffersonville, Clarksville, and New Albany Indiana so they can add up to just over a million in population...
What happend to the WKU plate up front? That was the only way I'd know if a car belonged to you or not.
It had a crack in it and when I ran through the car wash the plate split all way through, so I removed it til I can get another one.. I have a sweet Illini plate that I thought about putting on there.... But this plate was the one that I had on the Gray Gazelle...
You guys say "Hoosier" in Louisville too, not relating to Indiana?
I thought that was just a St. Louis thing.
Around here the word "Hoosier" is a demonym or nick-name for people who reside anywhere in the state of Indiana. It's been thought that the name originated in the early 1800s when a man named Samuel Hoosier was constructing the Portland Canal/McAlpine Lock & Dam along the Ohio River at Louisville. The men who worked on the canal were called "Hoosier's Men" and later just Hoosiers... The workers primarily came from Southern Indiana.
The athletic teams at the University of Indiana at Bloomington are known as the Indiana Hoosiers...
