Any ideas on what I should do with this rust. A new hood is 175.00 and I really don't want to pay that much.

Aside from that hood, the car looks like it's in great shape for a 2000.

The previous owner told me that he never did really anything with the outside of the car except car washes every now and then

I agree. Looks better than mine. Aside from the rust. I don't know how you base guys keep your trim is such good shape, Mines practically white. Embarassed

x2, and some polyurethane motor mounts.. not as cheap since you need 2 but the fast response is awesome

Car is pretty nice, aside from the hood. Agreed on the cold air intake. Easy enough to make and reasonably priced. I can't vouch for the motor mounts, but I may try them someday.

DIY intake is 50-75 probably, depending on how nice a filter you want on it.

Motor mounts if I recall correctly are about 50 bucks, but don't quote me on that.

There are how-to threads for both of these items, just do a search and you'll turn them up, I'm sure.

The only major problem with the car is that the transmission needs to be replaced. And I have to also replace the waterpump.
