I bought them from this guy who wasn't really clear on what the tires needed. All are mint with four brand new mich. coopers, but they won't hold air. He was trying to tell me that something plastic goes into the stem valve. Would that be the tmps sensor? Are the 00-05 equipped with that? Do i have to do anything else special in order to mount these wheels?

What exactly did he say? There may be no cores in the valve stems at the moment...whether or not the sensors are in the wheels should have no bearing on whether or not they hold air.

That's the valve core... can you see thru the valve stem? If so, then the core and/or the stem is missing

At the end of the day, I'm pretty sure that you can use regular stems with these...so don't go spending $60-$200 for TPMS sensors since they're of no use to your 00-05 Impala.

Thanks guys for all your help. Believe it or not, but I got the ss wheels on a steal for $75 bucks. Tires and all!!!! They are mint; I mean mint. Anyway nothing was needed. They bolted on fine, hold air fine, and look good. Now all I need is a paint job.

Lol. I can never consider any impala ugly. Especially yours. The rims look great on there. You should paint your side skirts to match and get a spoiler. Those 2 things would really set the car off. Very Happy

It will hold pretty well. My friend with the red impala in the pic below painted his and they are holding up great.

lol naw man i'll pass. This was on deal that I couldn't pass up, and honestly I wasn't even looking for the wheels. They just fell into my lap. It was an old guy who's son is in the Marine Corps and the wheels came off of his Impala and they were taking up garage space.
